Negril Jamaica

Negril BeachNegril, Jamaica’s newest tourist resort, offers seven miles (11 kilometres) of white sand beach, which lies on a narrow strip between the Caribbean Sea and the Great Morass to the South. North American hippies discovered it beauty and tranquility.

At the western tip of the island, Negril is a favorite resort area known for its natural beauty, with a seven-mile ribbon of white-sand beach and perfect conditions for swimming and snorkeling. Grotto-lined cliffs stretch to the old Negril Lighthouse, built in 1894. The ambiance is relaxed; the mood is laid-back; the fashion is casual.

Pre-sunset entertainment at Rick’s Cafe includes daredevil dives by local athletes from the 30-foot top towering beside this local hot spot. With its remarkable coral reefs and calm, clear waters, Negril is a diver’s paradise and several excellent PADI licensed companies offer numerous additional water sports, including leisurely catamaran cruises.
