1.) Negril Hills Golf Club

If you and your parther are fans of the sport, then you can go have a day of golf at the Negril Hill Golf Course, this is a 18 hole course that features lush tropicical vegetation. If you have never played Golf before, this could be the perfect oppurtunity to learn the sport.

A Honeymoon is a holiday taken by a newly married couple, Holiday! so instead of spending your entire honeymoon inside of some luxury hotel room when then real fun is right outside of the hotel property. Let me give you a breif history on Negril, it was first named Negrillo by the Spanish in 1494 and it remained relatively unknown until the 60’s and 70’s, when American “flower children”, college kids and Vietnam veterans gravitated towards the West End. They lived in the homes of locals and shared family meals and came in ever increasing numbers.

They are called Elite Upscale Bridal Services and according to their brochure, they offer the largest selection of Beautiful Trendy and Up-To Date Bridal Fashions in Negril. Presently there are two locations in Negril, so feel free to check out either if you have a few minutes to spare from your busy day. The locations are Shop #6 Kings Plaza on One Love Drive formerly West End Road and on Norman Manley Blvd (Beach Road) next to the Rooms Hotel.

Elite Upscale Bridal also offers last minute Wedding Plans as well. So if there was glitches while planning and now you are in need of last minute services, drop by one of the two locations in the resort town and they will solve your problems. I haven’t seen their work personally, I just saw the brochure and their website and decided to introduce them to your our loyal readers. It seems that Negril and Montego Bay are now popular honeymoon destinations to visitors from the United States. This came to my attention while I was on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Montego Bay on Monday June 21, 2010. The Stewardess announced and congratulated a total of 15 newly wedded couples which boarded the flight as a connection from Chicago.

After a few minutes of talking and raving by the newly weds, it was revealed that more than half of the 15 couples were headed to Negril and it was also their first time visiting Jamaica. I was sitting to the right of a couple and I entered the conversation and asked a few questions, my first question was “Why didn’t you get married in Jamaica?”, the couple replied saying that they didn’t really think of Jamaica until they were online searching for beautiful honeymoon destination.
